Pre-wedding photoshoot in Aug 2026

We had an amazing experience at J2! Each of the staff we interacted with was very friendly and helpful. My mom, a native Mandarin speaker, helped with booking everything and we mostly communicated with everyone via LINE.

We had 3 main appointments: (1) a fitting for both my partner and me (2 gowns and 1 wedding dress for me, 2 suits for my partner), (2) the actual photo shoot, and (3) selecting photos.

We selected our gowns/suits on a Sunday. LanLan (the woman who helped me at the first fitting) had excellent taste and helped me to choose dresses that were flattering, and matched the vibe of what I was looking for. On Monday, the photographer KeKe chatted with us on the phone to determine our preferred photo styles and shoot locations based on our selections. Eg, we wanted to shoot our traditional style Chinese clothing photos at Lin An Tai Historical House and Museum (林安泰古厝), our wedding outfits at the beach, and our bright yellow poofy dress in a more street style. KeKe knew exactly where to take us (the team knows Taipei very well) and organized the locations.

On the day of the shoot, Saya was my makeup artist and hairstylist and she not only knows how to accentuate your own features, but to keep it natural and photogenic. She was absolutely crucial - I sweat A LOT (and our shoot was on a very hot and humid August day) and she came in so clutch with her fan, patting my sweat away, and keeping my hair and makeup pristine. In between locations, the team had us rest at convenience stores (7/11, Family Mart) for Saya to change my hair and makeup to match the next look. She was doing MAGIC with how she transformed my hair for each look, making every outfit and shoot super distinct.

Azai was the second shooter that day and he is also excellent! He knew exactly when to step in to help with arranging my dress and handing us our accessories/props.

KeKe knew exactly how to pose us both - he had great ideas for both romantic and playful poses.

Other notes - we sat in an air conditioned van that provided us transport to each of the shooting locations, they were intentional about finding convenience stores for us to freshen up in, and they had a little tent that we used to change into our next outfit. Every little detail just shows how experienced J2 is with photoshoots, and how thoughtful they are with making sure their client has a great experience. I would definitely book with them again and I’d recommend them to anyone looking to do a photoshoot!
